the entrance crawlway. Downstream from the
Signature Room is a 250-foot-long 15-footsquare
breakdown passage which ends where
the stream flows into a tight crevice. This very
tight and sinuous passage leads, after several
hundred feet, to a 10-foot-high waterfall. At the
bottom of the waterfall the passage soon ends

Freeman Pit has a 97-foot, relatively freedrop
rappel from the lip. The cave is located
northwest of Bloomington and is about two

in a sump. At the beginning of the waterfall
passage are two crawls. The North B.S. Crawl
is several hundred feet long. The other passage,
known as South B.S. Crawl, extends south and
west for approximately 1,500 feet. The end of
this passage is very close to passages in Brinegar
Cave of the Blair System.
