Anup, the Jackal ; Kabhsenuf, the Hawk ; and<br />

One the Elder Horus, the Human, as <strong>The</strong> Chief.<br />

This was the same in Totemism and the mythology,<br />

and all descended from the Great Mother, who<br />

was mythical.<br />

<strong>The</strong> change in the human descent from the<br />

motherhood to the fatherhood is not apparent in<br />

the mythology until the time <strong>of</strong> Ptah, the father<br />

<strong>of</strong> Atum-Ra, but these seven were carried on from<br />

their Totemism and Mythology<br />

to the Stellar<br />

Mythos, and from the Stellar to the Lunar, then to<br />

the Solar, and finally are brought on in the Escha-<br />

tology in different forms and characters, and in the<br />

present day are represented<br />

both in the Hebrew<br />

and the Christian doctrines in various forms. It<br />

is in Atum-Ra, or Turn, who was both male and<br />

female, that we find " one all Parent." In the<br />

Ritual, ch. xvii., Turn is described as giving birth<br />

to Hu and Sa as the children <strong>of</strong> him who now<br />

unites the Father and Mother as divinity in one<br />

person. Hu denotes matter, Sa or Ka signifies<br />

spirit. This creation then is from blood and<br />

spirit,<br />

" the double primordial essence '<br />

assigned to Ptah.<br />

<strong>The</strong>se were the seven Souls or elementary powers<br />

represented by Zootypes, in the primary form,<br />

and were the primordial forms <strong>of</strong> the primary<br />

powers that were derived at first from the Mother
