Temple was open at the top to the vaults <strong>of</strong> heaven,<br />

so that a " Plumb Line "<br />

might come straight<br />

from the Pole Star to the central altar. <strong>The</strong> seven<br />

steps represent in the Egyptian " <strong>The</strong> Khuti,"<br />

or the seven Glorious Ones— attributes <strong>of</strong> the G. A.<br />

<strong>of</strong> the U., whose house is situated within this cir-<br />

cumpolar enclosure. <strong>The</strong>y also represent the seven<br />

Great — Spirits the seven Sciences— the seven Eyes<br />

—and many other sevens <strong>of</strong> the Scriptures. <strong>The</strong><br />

twelve Camps, and the twelve Banners <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Children <strong>of</strong> Israel represent the original characters<br />

in the Stellar Astronomical Mythology, and were<br />

given first to the twelve Thrones, or divisions <strong>of</strong><br />

heaven in the Stellar Cult, and in the Zodiac<br />

in the Solar. Thus, at first, they represented<br />

twelve Stellar Powers, and that is the reason we<br />

find the twelve Stones in these Circles. <strong>The</strong><br />

original characters in the Astronomical Mytho-<br />

logy that were given the twelve Thrones, or Camps,<br />

with separate and distinctive Banners in Zootype<br />

form, in Egyptian are Set, Horus, Shu, Hapi, Ap-<br />

uat, Kabhsenuf, Amsta, Anup, Ptah, Atum, Sau,<br />

and Hu. <strong>The</strong>se were the Kamite originals, brought<br />

on and converted into the Banners <strong>of</strong> the Twelve<br />

Camps, or Tribes, <strong>of</strong> Israel. <strong>The</strong> four principal<br />

Banners in the R.A.C., depicting the man, lion, ox,<br />

and eagle, took their origin from the four Brothers<br />

or Children <strong>of</strong> Horus. <strong>The</strong>se are to be found
