<strong>The</strong>se old Mystery Teachers first divided the<br />

Heavens into two parts, the North and the South,<br />

which they symbolized by two Poles or Pillars, one<br />

belonging to the North, and one to the South (see<br />

Fig. 15). <strong>The</strong>se were called the two sustainers<br />

the two Gods<br />

<strong>of</strong> Heaven ; also they represented<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Pole Stars, and later, in Egyptian, were<br />

named the two Tatt Pillars. <strong>The</strong>se two Pillars<br />

were always placed at the porchway entrance <strong>of</strong><br />

every Temple in the world, and represent J. and<br />

B. in our <strong>Masonic</strong> Temples.<br />

<strong>The</strong> next portrayal <strong>of</strong> Heaven was symbolized<br />

by two circles representing a Pre-Zodiacal forma-<br />

tion <strong>of</strong> the Heavens in the Stellar Mythos.<br />

Fig. 27 represents the North (Horus) and the<br />

South (Set) respectively, which in Temple building<br />

were formed <strong>of</strong> twelve monoliths. Remains <strong>of</strong><br />

these Circles, with twelve stones to each, may be<br />

seen in Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, India, America,<br />

and many other parts <strong>of</strong> the world. <strong>The</strong>se repre-<br />

sent the very first form <strong>of</strong> Temples built by man,<br />

and preceded the Temples in the form <strong>of</strong> a double<br />

square by many thousands <strong>of</strong> these were not covered in.<br />

to show their origin and meaning.<br />

In the next phase <strong>of</strong> representation we find<br />

Heaven depicted by two Triangles. <strong>The</strong>se two<br />
