<strong>of</strong> the Stellar has been brought on and mixed with<br />

; even the names <strong>of</strong> the Bacabs (Maya) are written<br />

in the old Toltec Stellar Glyphs above them. <strong>The</strong><br />

two central figures sitting one on each side <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Tatt Cross represent Horus in two forms, Earthly<br />

and Spiritual ; although they have retained here<br />

one <strong>of</strong> the Signs and Symbols for his Stellar name,<br />

as shown on the left and portrayed by the head<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Crocodile, where we also see the Glyphs<br />

which denote that it is Horus, or the " Brow <strong>of</strong> the<br />

God Iu," the bringer or giver <strong>of</strong> life by water and<br />

food.<br />

In another form the Tatt Cross consisted <strong>of</strong> a<br />

pedestal with four circular horizontal bars or<br />

shelves, constituting a kind <strong>of</strong> Altar-Cross. <strong>The</strong><br />

name signifies " to establish," and is the Symbol<br />

<strong>of</strong> Stability as the fourfold foundation <strong>of</strong> the world,<br />

or an order <strong>of</strong> things, that was established upon<br />

the four quarters. <strong>The</strong> Tatt -Altar or Pedestal<br />

is the equivalent <strong>of</strong> the mount <strong>of</strong> the four Corners,<br />

or the Tree with four branches, or the Cross with<br />

four arms. It is the special type <strong>of</strong> Ptah, the<br />

establisher <strong>of</strong> the four Corners in the Solar<br />

Mythos ; but it existed as a Lunar Emblem for<br />

the Moon -God before the Solar and, as we see here,<br />

before that, in the Stellar as— " I am Tatt, the<br />

Son <strong>of</strong> Tatt, conceived in Tatt, and born in Tatt "<br />

(Ritual, ch. i). Tatt was set up in Tattu, the<br />

established, or eternal region, the Station <strong>of</strong> the
