—and much <strong>of</strong> their knowledge was communicated<br />

in sign language. <strong>The</strong>ir Sacred Signs and<br />

Symbols were those they reverenced and treasured<br />

mostly ; hence, from one cult these were brought<br />

on into the next, sometimes altered somewhat,<br />

either added to, or something taken from, to mark<br />

the progress <strong>of</strong> the evolution <strong>of</strong> humanity. <strong>The</strong>se<br />

things can still be traced with unerring fidelity by<br />

those who read the writings on the wall— up to our<br />

present generation. All the faiths and cults at the<br />

present day can be traced back to old Egypt and<br />

nowhere else. It is an object-lesson to remind<br />

us that without the belief in the Divine Creator<br />

our Brotherhood could not remain cemented<br />

together. That is the one point above all others<br />

we believe in, although under different terminology,<br />

and He is always <strong>The</strong> One and For Ever the Same<br />

Divine Master, under whatever Signs or Symbols<br />

portrayed.
