H Amsu ; the Risen Horus for Eternity.<br />

Translated into the modern idiom, it would<br />

therefore read :—<br />

"It is written Horus, God <strong>of</strong> the North and<br />

South, Saviour <strong>of</strong> the World, the beloved Son or<br />

Lord Iu. He descended ; He ascended. He is<br />

now Amsu, the risen Lord in Spirit form, and<br />

reigns for Eternity."<br />

This form <strong>of</strong> writing is that which was used<br />

during the time they were converting the pure<br />

Hieroglyphic into Hieratic, which was a gradual<br />

change, and must have taken a considerable time.<br />

A and D are Hieratic, and others the pure old
