into East and West, giving us the four quarters.<br />

I do not know the password for the Grand<br />

Masters in England, but I do know the original<br />

sacred password <strong>of</strong> Old Egypt's Highest Priests.<br />

This word, which is given with and accompanies the<br />

above symbol, must only be communicated to, or<br />

spoken between, two Grand Masters, and never<br />

given to any one below that rank ; and I shall<br />

be pleased to restore the genuine sign, symbol,<br />

and passwords to any two Grand Masters if they so<br />

desire.<br />

You will observe these are the two Triangles <strong>of</strong><br />

Set and Horus.<br />

<strong>The</strong> upper one, or North, is an ideograph for<br />

Horus.<br />

<strong>The</strong> lower one, or South, that for Set.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Heavens were first divided into two<br />

divisions, North and South, at the time <strong>of</strong> their<br />

Totemic Sociology— before the Stellar Cult— at the<br />

very earliest time <strong>of</strong> their Astro-Mythology.<br />

<strong>The</strong> old Egyptians' custom was this : As they<br />

mapped out the Heavens Celestially, so they depicted<br />

the same Terrestrially in old Egypt. <strong>The</strong><br />

North and South Pole Stars portrayed in the<br />

earliest form was by two Poles or two Columns,<br />

and this was an earlier phase than by the triangle.<br />
