Jody Gilbert taught <strong>in</strong> post-secondary contexts <strong>in</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>a for two years, <strong>and</strong> has<br />

taught EAP <strong>in</strong> Canada for 12 years. He has special <strong>in</strong>terests <strong>in</strong> content-based<br />

<strong>in</strong>struction, read<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>struction, <strong>and</strong> web-based tools for enhanced language<br />

learn<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>and</strong> uses the Moodle VLE to support blended course projects <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g<br />

collaborative vocabulary journals, project-based collaborative reports, <strong>and</strong><br />

pre-arrival courses for short-term university exchange groups. Jody currently<br />

works as a Programme Co-ord<strong>in</strong>ator at Bow Valley College <strong>in</strong> Calgary, Canada.<br />

Tom Godfrey has worked as an EFL teacher <strong>and</strong> teacher tra<strong>in</strong>er <strong>in</strong> a variety of<br />

countries. He is Director of International Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g Institute (ITI), which is a centre for<br />

teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> development <strong>and</strong> an ELT consultancy <strong>in</strong> Istanbul. He currently<br />

runs teacher-tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g courses lead<strong>in</strong>g to the Cambridge ESOL qualifications. He is an<br />

ELT consultant specialis<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Curriculum <strong>Design</strong> <strong>and</strong> Teacher Education. He completed<br />

his EdD at Exeter University, UK. He is the founder of Speech Bubbles, which is a<br />

theatre company that performs to raise money for charities that support education<br />

<strong>and</strong> children <strong>in</strong> Turkey.<br />

Stephen Heap is a Director of Studies at the Institute of Cont<strong>in</strong>u<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> TESOL<br />

Education at the University of Queensl<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong> has been the Brisbane co-ord<strong>in</strong>ator<br />

of the International Diploma <strong>in</strong> <strong>Language</strong> Teach<strong>in</strong>g Management s<strong>in</strong>ce 2001. He has<br />

an MA from the University of Birm<strong>in</strong>gham as well as the IDLTM, <strong>and</strong> has carried out<br />

a variety of teach<strong>in</strong>g, teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g, management <strong>and</strong> TESOL consultancy-related<br />

work from Brita<strong>in</strong> to Brunei, Malta to Malaysia, <strong>and</strong> from Nigeria to North Korea.<br />

Sally Hirst works as Director of DELTA tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g at ITI, Istanbul. She has taught<br />

language <strong>in</strong> a variety of contexts <strong>and</strong> specialises <strong>in</strong> Bus<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>English</strong>. She has tra<strong>in</strong>ed<br />

on CELTA, ICELT <strong>and</strong> DELTA courses. She tutors onl<strong>in</strong>e for the Distance DELTA.<br />

She has an MSc <strong>in</strong> TESOL from Aston University, UK.<br />

Andy Hockley is a freelance educational management consultant <strong>and</strong> teacher<br />

tra<strong>in</strong>er based <strong>in</strong> deepest Transylvania. After 15 years of teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>English</strong> worldwide,<br />

he moved <strong>in</strong>to management <strong>and</strong> worked as an educational project manager at the<br />

School for International Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g (USA), <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g participat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the curriculum<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g party that developed the International Diploma <strong>in</strong> <strong>Language</strong> Teach<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Management (IDLTM). He has been co-ord<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g on the IDLTM s<strong>in</strong>ce<br />

its <strong>in</strong>ception <strong>in</strong> 2001. He is co-author, with Ron White, of From Teacher to Manager<br />

(CUP, 2008).<br />

Nicky Hockly is Director of Pedagogy of The Consultants-E, an onl<strong>in</strong>e teacher<br />

tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> development consultancy. She has been <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> EFL teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong><br />

teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g s<strong>in</strong>ce 1987, <strong>and</strong> has co-authored a number of methodology books<br />

on ICT <strong>in</strong> ELT <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g How to Teach <strong>English</strong> with Technology, Teach<strong>in</strong>g Onl<strong>in</strong>e <strong>and</strong><br />

most recently Digital Literacies (2013). She has published an e-book, Web<strong>in</strong>ars:<br />

A Cookbook for Educators (the-round.com), <strong>and</strong> is currently work<strong>in</strong>g on a book<br />

about mobile learn<strong>in</strong>g with Gav<strong>in</strong> Dudeney. She ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>s a professional blog,<br />
