Page 113 of your prescribed textbook contains general information about<br />

<strong>the</strong> dissolution of marriage. First of all you have <strong>to</strong> note <strong>the</strong> three ways in<br />

which a marriage can be dissolved.<br />

Judicial separation Thereafter <strong>the</strong> textbook explains what judicial separation and extrajudicial<br />

separation mean. In respect of judicial separation you need only<br />

know what this concept means and that section 14 of <strong>the</strong> Divorce Act<br />

abolished <strong>the</strong> court's power <strong>to</strong> make orders for judicial separation.<br />
