The European Observatory on <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Systems</strong> and Policies is a partnership<br />

between the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the Governments of Belgium,<br />

F<strong>in</strong>land, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spa<strong>in</strong>, Sweden and the<br />

Veneto Region of Italy, the European Commission, the European Investment<br />

Bank, the <strong>World</strong> Bank, UNCAM (French National Union of <strong>Health</strong> Insurance<br />

Funds), the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the London<br />

School of Hygiene & Tropical Medic<strong>in</strong>e. The Observatory team work<strong>in</strong>g on the<br />

HiT profiles is led by Josep Figueras, Director, Elias Mossialos, Mart<strong>in</strong> McKee,<br />

Re<strong>in</strong>hard Busse and Suszy Lessof. The Country Monitor<strong>in</strong>g programme of<br />

the Observatory and the HiT series are coord<strong>in</strong>ated by Gabriele Pastor<strong>in</strong>o. The<br />

production and copy-edit<strong>in</strong>g process was coord<strong>in</strong>ated by Jonathan North, with<br />

the support of Carol<strong>in</strong>e White, Sophie Richmond (copy-edit<strong>in</strong>g) and Steve Still<br />

(design and layout).
