● determ<strong>in</strong>es the objective to rationalize prescrib<strong>in</strong>g<br />

● endorses the <strong>in</strong>clusion <strong>in</strong> the positive list of the NHIFA (at 100% or 90%<br />

reimbursement) of substances that are more cost-effective than current therapies<br />

● abolishes capacity norms and stipulates that the <strong>in</strong>clusion of new capacities is to be<br />

approved by the M<strong>in</strong>ister of <strong>Health</strong>, while allow<strong>in</strong>g local governments more flexibility<br />

to restructure and reduce capacities<br />

6. Government Decree No. 109/2001. (VI. 21.) Korm. on Pharmaceuticals which can be<br />

Prescribed with Social Insurance Subsidies and on the Extent of Subsidies<br />

● extends fixed amount subsidies<br />

7. Decree No. 24/2001. (VI. 29.) EüM on the Amendment of Certa<strong>in</strong> Decrees <strong>in</strong> Connection<br />

with the Reorganization of Certa<strong>in</strong> National Institutes and Announcement of the M<strong>in</strong>ister<br />

of <strong>Health</strong> on the Establishment of the National <strong>Health</strong> Promotion Centre (see the Deed of<br />

Foundation <strong>in</strong>: <strong>Health</strong> Gazette 2001/13; see also Welfare Gazette 1997/16 and <strong>Health</strong><br />

Gazette 2000/5 on the National Institute of Prevention, and <strong>Health</strong> Gazette 1999/5 on the<br />

● merges the <strong>Health</strong> Promotion Research Institute and the National Institute of <strong>Health</strong><br />

Promotion <strong>in</strong>to a new <strong>in</strong>stitute, which is <strong>in</strong>tegrated <strong>in</strong>to the National Office of the<br />

NPHMOS as of October 2001<br />

8. Act LXII of 2001 on Hungarians liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Neighbour<strong>in</strong>g Countries<br />

(promulgated: 7/7/2001)
