represent a wide range <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> yield levels, were checked for<br />

coleoptile J.ength.<br />

lhe results <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this experinent indicated that the talf<br />

barleys had l<strong>on</strong>ger coleoptÍles than the short statured. <strong>on</strong>es.<br />

îhe evidence gathered suggested that the shorter coleoptiles<br />
