\\tere 2,54, 5,O8, ? .62 <strong>and</strong> 10.16 cm.<br />

Emergence rate indexes (ÉRI) were calculated by the<br />

method deseribed by A.11an et. aI. (f962).<br />

Lnalysis <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> variance was used to determine genotypie<br />

differences. the relati<strong>on</strong>ship <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> ERI to <str<strong>on</strong>g>plant</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>height</str<strong>on</strong>g>,<br />

coleoptile length, yieId, 200 kernel weight, <strong>and</strong> percent<br />

plurnpness was studied by rank correlati<strong>on</strong> procedures.<br />
