Bulk of DVC’s generation comes from coal based
thermal units. Thermal Power Plants at Bokaro
(BTPS‘A’ & BTPS‘B’), Durgapur (DTPS) and
Chandrapura (CTPS) were constructed and

MTPS achieved highest annual generation
of 4026.063 MU (PLF 72.75%) in 2003-04
superseding previous record of 3338.47 MU
(PLF 60.49%) achieved during 2002-03.
