out <strong>of</strong> a total <strong>of</strong> 6828 employees.<br />
PFC<br />
Implementation <strong>of</strong> reservation for Physically Challenged persons in PFC is monitored as per Government<br />
directives and instructions from time to time. The person appointed in PFC against Physically Handicapped<br />
comes from the category <strong>of</strong> Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH).<br />

From the very beginning, it has been the endeavor<br />
<strong>of</strong> SJVN to give due representation to the<br />
physically challenged persons in the employment<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Corporation. However, due to geographical<br />
conditions and peculiar construction work <strong>of</strong> the<br />
hydro electric projects, most posts in the<br />
technical area do not suit the disabled persons.<br />
As such, their employment has mainly been in<br />
non technical posts. At present, their strength<br />
is 5 ( five ), which is about 1 % <strong>of</strong> the total<br />
manpower <strong>of</strong> the Corporation.<br />
