8 • Maintenance Replacing the <strong>Ink</strong> Cartridge/Printhead (continued) 4C. Pull up and remove the black cap on the new printhead (if present). Also remove the protective tape from the bottom. 4D. Squeeze the two gray tabs on either side of the new printhead and slightly angle the printhead while sliding it back into its holder. 4E. Push the printhead back into place. You should hear a click when it is seated correctly. CLICK! 8-4 SV61195 Rev. B

The ridges on either side of the cartridge will slide into the grooves. Ridge Ridge 7. Rotate guard back to closed position. 8. Close the cover. The system automatically recognizes the new cartridge and in a few moments returns you to the Home screen. Groove 8-5
