7 • <strong>System</strong> Options<br />
<strong>System</strong> Options<br />
<strong>System</strong> options allow you to customize the machine settings for<br />
the way you run your mail and add security to those features that<br />
are sensitive to your organization. Because of the many options<br />
available, the options are categorized into "Basic" and "Advanced".<br />
Basic options include:<br />
• Advancing the date for printing postage<br />
• Setting the machine to the current (today's) date<br />
• Adjusting the Contrast (of the display)<br />
• Turning Features On or Off (if already purchased)<br />
• Setting Date, Time, and Timeouts<br />
• Setting <strong>Postage</strong> Values (Funds Warnings)<br />
• Setting Lock Code and Passwords<br />
• Scale Options (accessed from the Home screen)<br />
• Checking and Clearing the Batch Count (accessed from Funds)<br />
• Connecting to Data Centre<br />
Most of the basic system options are accessed by pressing Options<br />
and selecting your choice from the menu as shown below.<br />
