Phone Parameters
This menu option allows you to modify the phone con nec tion settings on
your machine (tone or pulse, dial prefix, etc.).

Selecting Tone/Pulse
Use this to tell the system whether your have a tone or pulse type phone.
1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select "Connect-Data Centre".
4. Select "Phone Parameters".
5. Select "Tone/Pulse". The current type (Tone or Pulse) is displayed.
6. You are prompted to change the setting. Either select the other
type on the screen, or press Clear (back arrow key) to leave the
current setting. You return to the Phone Parameters menu.
7. Press Clear (back arrow key) to return to Data Centre menu.
Entering the Dial Prefix
Use this if you need to dial a prefix number (like 9) to get an out side
line on your phone line.
1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select "Connect-Data Centre".
4. Select "Phone Parameters".
5. Select "Dialing Prefix".
6. The current prefix (if any displays). If you need to change it, key
in the prefix number you want (such as a "9") and select "OK";
otherwise, select "Continue" to keep the current prefix. You
return to the Phone Parameters menu.
7. Press Clear (back arrow key) to return to Data Centre menu.
