5 • Normal and Custom Presets Defining a Normal Preset (<strong>System</strong>s with Scales Only) To define the Normal Preset: 1. Establish the proper settings on the machine (such as class of mail, ad, fees, etc) that you want the preset to contain. 2. Press Custom Preset. 3. Select "Define NormalPreset". 4. You will be prompted if all current values are correct. A. If you press Yes/Enter. The new values are saved. B. If you press No, the system will display the current values. Press Page Down to see the remainder of the defined values.Select "Continue" when finished. Screens with sample information are shown below. Current values Acct: None Class: Ltr... Press Custom Preset to access the Custom Presets menu: CUSTOM PRESETS ◄Select Preset ◄Defi ne New Preset ◄Defi ne NormalPreset CUSTOM PRESETS ◄View Preset ◄Delete Preset ◄Edit Preset Name IMPORTANT: Keep in mind the following for custom presets: • There is no option to "edit" a custom preset, but you can define a new custom preset based on the current condition of the machine (and then delete your old custom preset). • To include a postage in your custom preset, you must use the manual weight entry function to establish a weight (not the scale), choose a class, and have a postage indicia displaying on the screen when you save your preset. • When a rate change is announced, always check the post age values assigned to all custom presets to make sure that they comply with the new rates.
