12 • Departmental Accounting<br />

Creating an Account<br />

You need to create an account before you can use the departmental<br />

accounting feature to track postage.<br />

1. From the Home screen, press the selection key next to ACCT:<br />

line to display the Accounts menu.<br />

2. Select "Create an account"<br />

Up<br />

Page<br />

3. If the supervisor password has been enabled, you are prompted<br />

to enter it. Key in the 4-digit password and select "Continue".<br />

4. The system will prompt for the name of this account. Key in<br />

a name for the account. It can be up to twelve alpha/nu mer ic<br />

char ac ters long. To access alpha characters, tap the appropriate<br />

number key until the desired character displays. When finished,<br />

select "Continue".<br />

5. If a passwords have been enabled for accounts, you will be<br />

prompted to enter one.<br />

A. Key in the 4-digit password and select "Continue".<br />

B. At the confirmation password prompt, re-enter the new<br />

password and select "Set".<br />

6. At the prompt to create another account, either:<br />

A. Press Yes/Enter and go back to Step 3 to enter another<br />

account OR<br />

B. Press No to continue. You return to the Accounts menu.<br />

7. Press Clear (back arrow key) or Home to return to the Home<br />

screen.<br />
