Dominique Bé, an economist by training, is the Secretary of the
Committee of the European Social Fund. His most recent publications
include “The pluridisciplinary dimension and the challenge for the EU
policies on CSR” in The pluridisciplinary dimension of CSR, edited by
Marie-Ange Moreau and Francesco Francioni, Presses Universitaires
d’Aix Marseilles, 2007; and “The evolution of capitalism and the future
of employment policy in the EU” in Transfer, 2008. He also authored
“Una estrategia europea para promover la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa
en la UE” in Icade: Revista de las Facultades de Derecho y Ciencias

Brian Bercusson is Professor of European Social and Labour Law,
King’s College, London. Since 2003 he has taught in the Law and Economic
Globalisation programme at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in
Paris. He is Director of the European Law Unit of Thompsons, Solicitors,
London, and coordinates the Research Group on Transnational
Trade Union Rights for the European Trade Union Institute in Brussels.
Publications include Regulating labour in the wake of globalization: New
challenges, new institutions, 2007 (edited with C. Estlund); European
labour law and the EU Charter of fundamental rights, 2006 (editor); and
European labour law, forthcoming (second edition).
Giuseppe Casale is the Chief of the Social Dialogue, Labour Law
and Labour Administration Branch of the International Labour Organization,
Geneva. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Los
Angeles, an MA from the School of Advanced International Studies of
the Johns Hopkins University, Washington, DC and a doctorate in
Political Science from the University of Florence. He has lectured in
