Device Related Plans – We offer a
number of attractive customised plans
to complement the smartphones sold by
Maxis including iPhone and BlackBerry.
Such plans require customers to sign a
contract for a specified period of time.
Prepaid Mobile
Launched in October 1999, this service is
sold under the Hotlink brand name and
requires the customers to pay in advance
before the service is activated with the
option for top-up. This service provides
customers the freedom, without having
to sign-up to a contract, to subscribe to
monthly billing services and the ability
to control their spending. Customers
can increase their credit line by topping
up at an authorised outlet and via many
alternative cash and non-cash-based
channels.
Hotlink offers a suite of basic voice,
value-added services and advanced data
services similar to those available to
postpaid mobile customers. Some of the
plans enjoyed are as follows:
Hotlink Starter Pack – This is a standard
plan with competitive rates. Customers
can enjoy many features such as voice,
data, video, IDD services and additional
benefits by signing up for other services
that are available.
Hotlink Top-Ups – Customers have the
option for top-up at any time within
the relevant applicable validity period.
Top-up options are detailed on page
81 in the Customers First section of the
Annual Report. Hotlink top-up is also
available overseas at Bridge Alliance
Partners’ outlets.
Activ10 – When customers sign up for
Activ10, they get to enjoy preferential
calling and SMS rates to their preassigned
10 favourite Maxis and Hotlink
numbers. Customers can register for
Activ10 easily via Hotlink’s Easy Menu by
dialing *100#.
Hot Ticket – This is one of the new and
innovative ways in which customers can
top-up their Hotlink account. Hot Tickets
are available at authorised outlets. A Hot
Ticket consists of a bundle of our core
mobile services that could offer better
value than our standard Hotlink plan and
each Hot Ticket has associated bonuses,
rewards and real world promotional
activities. There are many types of Hot
Tickets and they are designed to appeal
to specific segments. Promotional
activities can be seasonal.
Prepaid Data Pass – Like our postpaid
customers, Hotlink subscribers can
access the mobile internet on their
devices and choose daily or weekly
passes tailored for our smartphone
users. Customers can also opt for
dedicated Facebook passes. BlackBerry
users can choose from our range of
prepaid BlackBerry BIS plans.
Wireless Broadband – We offer a wide
range of attractive prepaid broadband
starter packs for laptop and tablet
users. Additionally, customers can take
advantage of the Internet Hot Ticket for
casual usage of broadband.
International Roaming – Our prepaid
customers can roam internationally
in 190 countries. Like our postpaid
customers, they can roam and call
directly to selected countries from the
address book on their device without
any setting changes. To enjoy better
savings, they can use our Roam *120*
feature which provides significantly
better rates. Since April 2011 our
prepaid customers have been given data
services while roaming in 150 countries.
Roaming data charges are charged on a
pay-per-use basis.
International Direct Dial (IDD) – In
addition to the standard premium
prepaid IDD service, customers can also
opt to use our IDD 132 service which
offers budget IDD calling. They can also
purchase our Hot Ticket and IDD Super
Savers that feature specially priced IDD
calling to specific destinations. These
IDD Hot Ticket consist of IDD minutes,
IDD SMS, i-share (international airtime
transfer), news and content from
selected home countries.
