Maxis 1Store
Maxis 1Store is the first Malaysian
application store that enables Maxis and
Hotlink customers to select and purchase
applications for their feature phones as
well as Android, Blackberry and Symbian
smartphones. Customers can access
Maxis 1Store and choose applications
ranging from lifestyle and utilities to
games. This initiative also enables
international and local developers to
access the Maxis subscription base of
14 million and provides tools to assist
them in developing applications.
Infotainment Services
myLaunchpad – Maxis’ infotainment
portal that offers content through
focused channels featuring news, movies,
sports, games, property, education and
dedicated Malay and Chinese lifestylebased
news. Currently the 2nd most
visited site based on rankings by Effective
Measures, it receives traffic of 2.2 million
unique visitors per month.
Music – Maxis offers many ways for
customers to enjoy music on their
mobile device. The users’ interaction
with their devices can be enhanced with
Caller Ringtone, Background Music and
Ringtones. Customers can also enjoy
full music tracks on their devices by
purchasing individual tracks from us or
by subscribing to our OneMusic service.
These services can be purchased or
subscribed to via our Music Unlimited

TV and Video – On 3G phones, Maxis
currently offers customers the ability to
subscribe to television and video content
from popular sources like BBC World,
Bloomberg, CNN, Discovery, Disney, TV3,
TV9, Stadium ASTRO Mobile and other
popular ASTRO channels.
Multi-Device Video Service –
This service enables customers to access
multiple channels via their mobile and
Android tablet devices. With 18 different
channels, this subscription-based service
enables customers to stream videos
without any data charges and has a
community of 400,000 users.
Games – Via the games portals
www.mplanet.com.my and
www.gamesunlimited.com.my, the Maxis
gamers community now comprises 2
million Malaysians. Maxis has expanded
the games proposition beyond mobile
into online games and social networking
games. Maxis was also voted the Most
Favourite Mobile Game Provider in 2011
by GameAxis magazine.
Downloads – Maxis and its partners
offer a number of downloads such as
wallpapers, themes, operator logos and
applications for mobile devices.
Business, Sports and Entertainment
News – Maxis customers can
subscribe to business, sports and
entertainment news via SMS or MMS
for instant delivery from major local and
international news providers, including
Reuters, Bloomberg, The Edge, The Star,
The New Straits Time, Nanyang Siang
Pau, Bernama and Berita Harian.
MMS Content – Through our partners,
customers can also subscribe to a full
range of lifestyle-based content delivered
via MMS directly to their mobile devices,
e.g., Chinese horoscope, greetings, funny
jokes, dating tips, recipes, etc.
Lifestyle Content – Through our
partners, our customers have access to
lifestyle-based content on their mobile
phones. These include Her Maxis, Men
Matters, Traffic Check, etc.
