2010 thru 2014 Capital Improvement Plan - Project Descriptions by Fund<br />

<strong>St</strong>ormwater Drainage Capital Projects Fund (4013)<br />

This fund was established in 1990 as part <strong>of</strong> the implementation <strong>of</strong> the stormwater utility management fee. Additional funding<br />

for stormwater projects is provided from the Local Option Sales Tax “Penny for Pinellas” in the Neighborhood and <strong>City</strong>wide<br />

Infrastructure Improvement Fund and from grants. A portion <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>'s annual stormwater utility fees and grants from the<br />

Southwest Florida Water Management District are the primary sources <strong>of</strong> revenue for this fund.<br />

Project Descriptions<br />

Shore Acres Tidal Backflow Prevention 1,505,000<br />

Design, permitting, and construction <strong>of</strong> tidal backflow prevention devices and water quality and flood protection vaults at<br />

selected Shore Acres drainage outfalls to reduce localized street flooding.<br />

Northeast Basin Jungle Lake (R-1-1) 650,000<br />

This project provides for the design and construction <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>ormwater Management Master Plan Project R-1-1.<br />

Minor <strong>St</strong>orm Drainage FY10 125,000<br />

This project will repair or replace minor storm drainage facilities not identified in other projects to correct localized flooding<br />

conditions.<br />

Drainage Line Rehab FY10 250,000<br />

This project is for drainage culvert/pipe rehabilitation, replacement, relining, or repair to correct leaking joints or failing<br />

culvert/pipe walls at various locations where required.<br />

Golf Creek Culvert (G-5-3) 950,000<br />

This project provides for design and construction <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>ormwater Management Master Plan Project G-5-1.<br />
