present in particulate materials present <strong>on</strong> road surfaces. Examinati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the c<strong>on</strong>centrati<strong>on</strong>s present<br />
in different grain size separates obtained from stormwater has shown that c<strong>on</strong>centrati<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> elements<br />
such as Cu <strong>and</strong> Zn are <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the order <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> 150 <strong>and</strong> 2,000 mg/kg. This compares with 297 <strong>and</strong> 723 mg/kg<br />
respectively in
