Conditions: Given a flashlight (night only), signaling flags (mounted<br />

signals only), and a requirement to per<strong>for</strong>m visual signals or identify<br />

visual signals per<strong>for</strong>med by another.<br />

Standards: Give the proper procedures <strong>for</strong> each required action.<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>mance Steps<br />

1. Ensure that the Soldiers you are signaling can see you.<br />

2. Per<strong>for</strong>m the visual signals <strong>for</strong> combat <strong>for</strong>mations, battle drills, and<br />

movement techniques as follows:<br />

a. Per<strong>for</strong>m <strong>for</strong>mation signals coil and herringbone (figure 071-326-<br />

0608-1 and figure 071-326-0608-2).<br />
