a. Disconnected headset (if applicable).<br />

b. Lower level Soldiers unbuckled seat belts.<br />

c. Assisted upper level Soldiers in a safe manner while<br />

unfastening seat belts and lowering to the ground level.<br />

d. Oriented self to the nearest exit.<br />

e. If necessary, worked as a team to open and brace<br />

jammed doors.<br />

f. Exited with weapon.<br />

g. Established security.<br />

h. Assisted crew to exit.<br />

i. Obtained assistance as needed.<br />

7. When water entry was imminent (whether or not the<br />

potential <strong>for</strong> a rollover existed):<br />

a. Shouted "WATER! WATER! WATER!"<br />

b. If a gunner was assigned, pulled the gunner into the<br />

cab of the vehicle and held in place.<br />

c. Tucked head and chin into chest and braced <strong>for</strong><br />

impact.<br />

d. Planted feet fixed on the floor while holding onto a<br />

stationary object.<br />

e. Did not move until the vehicle stabilizes.<br />

f. Disconnected headset (if applicable).<br />
