Per<strong>for</strong>mance Steps<br />

a. Keep your body as flat as possible to the ground.<br />

b. Grasp the sling of the weapon at the upper sling swivel with your right<br />

hand.<br />

c. Let the hand guard rest on your <strong>for</strong>earm.<br />

d. Keep the muzzle of the weapon off the ground.<br />

e. Move <strong>for</strong>ward.<br />

(1) Push both arms <strong>for</strong>ward while pulling your right leg <strong>for</strong>ward.<br />

(2) Pull on the ground with both arms while pushing with your right<br />

leg.<br />

(3) Repeat steps 9e(1) and 9e(2) until you reach your next position.<br />

5. Move using the rush movement technique (figure 071-326-0502-4).<br />

a. Raise your head.<br />

b. Select your next position.<br />

c. Lower your head.<br />

d. Draw your arms into your body.<br />

e. Pull your right leg <strong>for</strong>ward.<br />

f. Raise your body.<br />

g. Get up fast.<br />

h. Run to your next position.<br />

(1) Keeping the distance short.<br />

(2) Run <strong>for</strong> 3 to 5 seconds.<br />

i. Plant both feet just be<strong>for</strong>e hitting the ground.<br />

j. Fall <strong>for</strong>ward.<br />

(1) Drop to your knees.<br />

(2) Slide your right hand down to the heel of the butt of your weapon.<br />

(3) Break your fall with the butt of your weapon.<br />

k. Fall <strong>for</strong>ward.<br />

(1) Roll on your side.<br />

(2) Place the butt of your weapon in the hollow of your shoulder.<br />

(3) Roll or crawl to a covered or concealed firing position.<br />
