Iako je, po meni, to dvoje teško uopće za<br />
uspoređivati jer uvjeti u kojima je sve bilo<br />
odrađivano na početku i sada stvarno su kao<br />
nebo i zemlja. Ali prva Revija je, kao što i<br />
samo ime kaže, PRVA pa su tada vladale neke<br />
zakonitosti kojih sada nema jer nema potrebe<br />
više za time u toj mjeri, a to je entuzijazam.<br />
Kad se nešto počinje iz nule i podiže iz<br />
pepela s jako malo znanja i još manje sredstava,<br />
onda se sve radi s više ljubavi i s još<br />
više entuzijazma. Taj entuzijazam<br />
i danas postoji, ali za razliku od<br />
onog s prve Revije koji je proizlazio<br />
iz Kinokluba Karlovac i<br />
Videodružine Gimnazije Karlovac,<br />
ovaj danas proizlazi iz nekih<br />
drugih izvorišta. Ljudi vezani uz Reviju<br />
i Festival nisu više isključivo dio Kluba<br />
ili Družine već su sada više vezani uz festivale<br />
i film općenito, pa otuda taj neki novi<br />
miris entuzijazma i štimung koji nosi Revija<br />
i Festival danas.<br />
› It’s almost impossible to compare these<br />
because the conditions we had back then<br />
and the ones now are two completely<br />
different things. The first edition<br />
was just that, the FIRST one, and<br />
then different conditions applied,<br />
which are not that necessary<br />
any more, and that ingredient<br />
is enthusiasm. When you’re<br />
starting something from a scratch<br />
and raising it from the ashes, with very little<br />
knowledge and even less money, then everything<br />
is done with a lot of love and even<br />
more enthusiasm. The enthusiasm is still<br />
here, but unlike then, when it was stemming<br />
from the Cinema Club Karlovac and the Kar-<br />
lovac Gimnasium Video Group, now it comes<br />
from different sources. People organizing<br />
the YFF and FRFF are not exclusively tied to<br />
the Cinema Club or the Video Group but are<br />
connected to other festivals and film in general,<br />
and therefore this enthusiasm and atmosphere<br />
present at the festival today are<br />
different, too.<br />
