Ispred kamera mladih filmaša iz<br />

Gunje i motorne pile djeluju nježno.<br />

A kako i ne bi kada se jedna<br />

takva “motorka” našla u rukama<br />

prvorazredna naivnog umjetnika<br />

čija priča u filmu teče kao i rad<br />

pri obradi drva. Odlučno i suptilno<br />

u isti trenutak. Možda nije riječ<br />

o najvišem domu filmova iz<br />

Gunje, ali u slučaju SKIG-a vrijede<br />

neki sasvim drugi standardi.<br />

young filmmakers from the Gunja<br />

studio, even chainsaws can seem<br />

tender. And how could they not<br />

when one such chainsaw finds itself<br />

in the hands of a naïve artist<br />

whose story flows in the film just<br />

as smoothly as his wood work. Bold<br />

and subtle at the same time. Maybe<br />

it’s not the best work to come<br />

out of the Gunja studio, but they<br />

always raise the bar pretty high.<br />

Teško da se motornom pilom<br />

može kipariti nježno, kao što<br />

to priziva naslov, no kipariti se<br />

može, kao što pokazuje ovaj solidni<br />

dokumentarni portret posavskog<br />

naivnog umjetnika, nje-<br />

gove ruralne svakodnevice i<br />

životne sredine.<br />

› It is not very likely that<br />

one can make sculptures with a<br />

chainsaw tenderly, as the film’s<br />

title suggests, but one can make<br />

sculptures. This solid documentary<br />

paints a portrait of a naïve artist<br />

from the Posavina region, his<br />

rural daily life and surroundings.<br />

Zanimljiva tema i lijep film, no nedostaje<br />

glazbe. Mislim da je uopće<br />

ni nema. Previše čvrstih, uplašenih<br />

kadrova. Najbolji kadar u filmu<br />

je onaj s neposlušnim konjem,<br />

gdje se snimatelj morao potruditi<br />

da sve uhvati i izbjegne konja. Zanimljiv<br />

dokumentarac uz kojega<br />

minute jako brzo prolaze.<br />

› Interesting subject-matter<br />

and a lovely film, but it lacks music.<br />

I think there isn’t any at all.<br />

Too many fixed, scared frames.<br />

The best frame in the film is the<br />

one with the rebellious horse in<br />

which the cinematographer had<br />

to make an effort to capture it all<br />

while avoiding the horse. An interesting<br />

documentary in which<br />

the minutes pass by very quickly.<br />
