2.1 Land Use

Office
As shown in Table 2.1-1, office uses comprise 113.4 acres, or 2.5 percent of the City’s
total acreage. Each of the three subcategories (stores/office, office building, and
professional building) account for approximately 1.0 percent or less of the City’s total
acreage. Office uses are generally interspersed with commercial uses along the major
arterials discussed above. There are no large-scale office complexes in the City.
Industrial
Inglewood is located in a highly desirable industrial real estate market because of its
location adjacent to the LAX airport, the San Diego (I-405) Freeway, and the Century (I-
105) Freeway. As shown in Table 2.1-1, industrial uses comprise 191.7 acres, or
4.2 percent of the City’s total acreage. Industrial uses are divided into three subcategories,
including industrial, heavy-industrial, and light manufacturing uses. As shown in Figure
2.1-1, the majority of industrial uses in the City are located west of the San Diego
Freeway, and along Florence Avenue.
