6 Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (under XP there is no 4/6) and then click
Properties.
You will see a dialog that shows the TCP/IP setup for the connection.

Subnet masks are often 255.255.255.0 and if this is the case, then you have to
make sure that the first 3 sets of numbers for each device match (192.168.1 in
this example; note that this is not the default value) and that the last numbers
