Chapter 4: Using the Analyzer
‣ Click the “Wet The Gas Liquid Separator Post” button. This will result in a
gas flow of about 1000 mL/min with a pump rate of 100%.

3 Check that the bottle supplying the autosampler rinse station is filled with
clean trace metal grade acidified rinse solution.
4 Place the reagent uptake tube in a beaker of DI water.
5 If the peristaltic pump is not already on, turn it on.

6 Engage the pressure shoe (quick release mechanism) on the peristaltic pump.
7 Pinch the drain tube as shown in Figure 4-8. The drain tube runs from the GLS
to the inlet side of the peristaltic pump.
