Evaluation
With a majority of students at or above grade level on the standardized assessments and a majority demonstrating
proficiency on the school’s Saxon Math curriculum, Leadership Prep is confident in its ability to achieve even greater
gains for the next school year as it moves towards meeting the accountability plan goals.
Science and Social Studies: The school meets or has come close to meeting the science and social studies
goals in its Accountability Plan over the term of its charter (Benchmarks 1A.3 1A.4)
Accountability Plan Goal 3: Science
Students will demonstrate proficiency in the understanding and application of scientific principles.
Accountability Plan Goal 4: Social Studies
Students will demonstrate proficiency in the understanding and application of principles related to the social sciences.
Measure III.A
Each year in each tested grade, 75 percent of students who are enrolled in at least their second year will perform at or
above Level 3 on the New York State Science examination.
Measure III.B
Each year in each tested grade, the percent of students who are enrolled in at least their second year and performing at
or above Level 3 on the State Science exam will be greater than that of students in the respective grades in the local
school district (New York Community School District 13).
Measure IV.A
Each year in each tested grade, 75 percent of students who are enrolled in at least their second year will perform at or
above Level 3 on the New York State Social Studies examination.
Measure IV.B
Each year in each tested grade, the percent of students who are enrolled in at least their second year and performing at
or above Level 3 on the State Social Studies exam will be greater than that of students in the respective grades in the
local school district (New York Community School District 13).
Summary
Leadership Prep students have not yet participated in the New York State Science or Social Studies Exams, the school
has implemented curricula that will prepares our students to perform on these state assessments as we work towards our
Accountability Plan goals.
