The reacti<strong>on</strong>s (10) and (11) represent reacti<strong>on</strong>s of electrochemical adsorpti<strong>on</strong> and desorpti<strong>on</strong><br />

respectively.<br />

The study revealed that the processes taking place <strong>on</strong> glassy-carb<strong>on</strong> anodes in i<strong>on</strong>ic melts are<br />

irreversible. The anodes fail as a result of electrochemical oxidati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
