It was revealed, that the introducti<strong>on</strong> of nitrogen in КАU improves thermal stability of a<br />

carb<strong>on</strong> matrix to a surface oxidizing by oxygen of air up to 450 o C and does not result in<br />

essential change of its porous structure.<br />

In figure, <strong>for</strong> example, the temperature dependences of CO oxidati<strong>on</strong> in hydrogen-rich<br />

mixture <strong>on</strong> the studied samples is given. It may be seen from the Figure, that the introducti<strong>on</strong><br />

of nitrogen in a matrix of KAU results in essential increase of activity of catalyst.<br />

Dependence of catalytic activity <strong>on</strong> the c<strong>on</strong>tent of nitrogen <strong>on</strong> the carrier has extreme<br />

character. The sample c<strong>on</strong>taining 3 mas. % of nitrogen <strong>on</strong> a surface of carb<strong>on</strong> matrix is the<br />

most active. Over this sample 100 % c<strong>on</strong>versi<strong>on</strong> of CO in a reacti<strong>on</strong> mixture c<strong>on</strong>taining 98 %<br />

of H 2 is achieved at temperature 160 о С. It is necessary to note, that similar influence of the<br />

c<strong>on</strong>tents of nitrogen in samples <strong>on</strong> their catalytic activity is revealed in [3] <strong>for</strong> oxidati<strong>on</strong> of<br />

hydrogen sulphide.<br />

It is shown, that activity of the catalyst 5 mas. %. Со/KAU-N with 3 % <strong>on</strong> mass of nitrogen<br />

did not reduce after 25 hours of work.<br />

Тhus, the use of nitrogen compound carb<strong>on</strong> as the support of the cobalt/carb<strong>on</strong> catalysts in<br />

CO oxidati<strong>on</strong> reacti<strong>on</strong> in the hydrogen rich mixtures are the very perspective.<br />
