DRAFT RECOMMENDED STANDARD FOR SPACE LINK EXTENSION SERVICE MANAGEMENT
CSPC-25
CSPC-26
For each Space Link Service Request in a valid CSP-I for which handovers are permitted, if a single
conformant resource configuration does not exist but a set of conformant resource configurations does
exist, as validated in accordance with CSPC-16 b), CM should schedule the resources to create
multiple Space Link Service Results such that:
a) the scheduledSpaceLinkSessionStartTime of the first scheduled Space Link Service
Result is as close to the requested spaceLinkSessionStartTime of the Space Link Service
Request as possible;
b) the difference between the scheduledSpaceLinkSessionStartTime of the first scheduled
Space Link Service Result and the scheduledSpaceLinkSessionStopTime of the last
scheduled Space Link Service Result is as close to preferredSessionDuration of the Space
Link Service Request as possible.
[perform operation]
If the CSP-I is valid and is for a Space Link Session Service Package, CM:
a) shall reserve the resources to provide each enabled SLS transfer service instance in accordance
with the referenced profile, such that:
1) the scheduledServiceInstanceStartTime is equal to
scheduledCarrierStartTime of the earliest-starting Space Link Carrier that contains
that service instance, plus the startTimeOffset for that transfer service instance;
2) the scheduledServiceInstanceStopTime is equal to
scheduledCarrierStopTime of the latest-ending Space Link Carrier that contains that
service instance, plus the stopTimeOffset for that transfer service instance;
b) shall assign a providerId and providerPortId to each SLS transfer service instance;
c) shall assign a unique (within the scope of the Service Package) Transfer Service Instance Number
to each SLS transfer service instance;
d) shall ignore carrierStartTimeOffset and carrierStopTimeOffset parameters for
any carrier in the referenced SpaceLinkSessionProfile for which an event sequence
profile is referenced and
1) use (stateStartTime – stateStartTimeWindowLead) of the first (earliest)
[R|F]SpaceLinkAvailable data set in the referenced event profile to compute the
scheduledCarrierStartTime;
2) use (stateStartTime + stateStartTimeWindowLag) of the last (latest)
[R|F]SpaceLinkAvailable data set in the referenced event profile to compute the
scheduledCarrierStopTime;
e) shall compute the stateScheduledStartTime for each [R|F]SpaceLinkAvailable and
[R|F]SpaceLinkDataTransport state in any Space Link Events Profile with a timeReference
value of ‘relative’ in the CSP-I. The stateScheduledStartTime shall be calculated
by adding the stateStartTime to the scheduledCarrierStartTime of the space link
carrier with which the Event Sequence is associated;
f) shall compute the eventScheduledTime for each Space Link or Data Transport Event in any
Event Sequence with a timeReference value of ‘relative’ in the CSP-I; the
eventScheduledTime shall be calculated by adding the eventTime to the stateStartTime of
the parent availability state in the event sequence;
g) shall issue a CSP-SR message specifying the parameters of the scheduled Service Package, and
the scheduled times for the space link available, space link data transport, and associated events
associated with the Space Link Service Session (if any).
[perform operation]
