4.6 SELECT_ALTERNATE_SCENARIO (SAS) OPERATION<br />

4.6.1 PURPOSE<br />

The SELECT_ALTERNATE_SCENARIO (SAS) operation allows UM to request CM to<br />

configure the prime scenario of a specified <strong>Service</strong> Package to one of the alternate scenario<br />

defined by the <strong>Service</strong> Package.<br />

4.6.2 PROCEDURE<br />

The procedure for the SAS operation is a two-phase operation procedure, which follows the<br />

two-phase operation procedure pattern specified in 3.1.<br />

The SAS operation involves the exchange of the following messages:<br />

– SelectAlternateScenarioInvocation (SAS-I);<br />

– SelectAlternateScenarioSuccessfulReturn (SAS-SR);<br />

– SelectAlternateScenarioFailedReturn (SAS-FR).<br />

The sequence and activity diagrams for the SELECT_ALTERNATE_SCENARIO operation<br />

are the two-phase operation procedure pattern sequence and activity diagrams specified in<br />

3.1 the argument lists:<br />
