Using the FH-816 Holder for 16-mm Film Strips
The FH-816 is used when scanning strips of 16-mm film up to twenty frames in length. Up to
three film strips can be placed in the holder at a time.
Insert your fingers into the holes in the lower portion holder to unlatch the hooks holding the
upper cover in place, then open the holder.
Hooks (× 2)
Upper cover
Place the film to be scanned in the holder with the matte emulsion surface down (the shiny
surface up) and the frames aligned with the apertures in the lower portion of the holder. Close
the upper cover so that the latches click into place.
Cautions
Use only one type of film at a time. Do not place negative and positive film in the holder at the
same time.
To avoid damaging the film, use a blower to remove dust and lint from the film and holder.
Leaving dust, lint, or other foreign objects on the film or holder during scanning could result in
reduced image quality or in damage to the film.
