The Welcome Window<br />
If the Welcome program starts automatically when<br />
you insert the <strong>Nikon</strong> Scan CD, click Exit to close<br />
the Welcome window.<br />

Turn the scanner on<br />
The first time the computer detects the<br />
scanner, Windows will display the dialog<br />
shown at right. After confirming that the<br />
<strong>Nikon</strong> Scan CD is inserted in the CD-ROM<br />
drive, select the search option and click<br />
Next.<br />
Inserting the <strong>Nikon</strong> Scan CD<br />
If the <strong>Nikon</strong> Scan CD is not in the CD-<br />
ROM drive, insert the disk while holding<br />
down the shift key to prevent the Welcome<br />
program from starting automatically.<br />
Select LS8000ME.INF<br />
Select LS8000ME.INF in the list of drivers<br />
and click OK.<br />
