Multiuse TrailsMultiuse trails will provide an <strong>of</strong>f-roadway pedestrian connection between activity areas. Thedesign <strong>of</strong> the trail should utilize the existing topography to provide an attractive and useablefacility. The privacy and security <strong>of</strong> adjoining land owners should be a key consideration whenplanning these trails. The construction <strong>of</strong> segments <strong>of</strong> these trails should be incorporated asdevelopment occurs. Additional options <strong>of</strong> expanding existing routes along the Freedomland Trailand the Ohio River Greenway could be considered. The study team has identified several routeswhere the creation <strong>of</strong> a multiuse path could be considered. These routes are shown in Figure4.04-2 and listed below.• Create a multiuse trail connecting the <strong>Floyd</strong>s Knobs area with New Albany.
