SR 62/64Of the three alternatives proposed for the SR 62/64, the Single Point Urban Interchangealternative operates the best. With the diamond interchange expansion and the loop rampalternative there are still intersections at the interchange that operate at LOS F. Nointersections with the Single Point Urban Interchange alternative operate at LOS F. If thisoption is selected, it will require complete reconstruction <strong>of</strong> the SR 64 and I-64 interchange.During the AM peak-hour all intersections operate at LOS C or better with the exception <strong>of</strong>the central SPUI intersection which operates at LOS D. The maximum queues observed inSynchro modeling is 970 feet in the southbound lanes on SR 64 at the Center SPUIintersection. These queues are significantly less that any <strong>of</strong> the other alternatives.The operations during the PM peak-hour are slightly worse. The central SPUI intersectioncontinues to operate at LOS D, but with less queuing than during the AM peak-hour. Theintersections <strong>of</strong> SR 64/Tunnel Hill Road and SR 62/Yenowine Lane also operate at LOS Dduring the PM peak-hour. The maximum queues observed in Synchro modeling are 980feet on the westbound I-64 <strong>of</strong>f-ramp. These queues are shorter than the other alternativesmodeled.
