This intersection serves SR 62/64through and left turning traffic and I-64 left turning traffic. This intersectionshould be constructed with dual southbound left-turn lanes and through laneson SR 64. A single left-lane and dual through lanes should be provided fornorthbound SR 64 traffic. The westbound I-64 off-ramp should provide threeleft-turn lanes, and the eastbound I-64 off-ramp should provide a single leftturnlane. This intersection should be signalized, and the signal should becoordinated with the North SPUI intersection signal and the signal at TunnelHill Road.Operations modeling indicates that with forecasted AM and PM peak-hourvolumes, the intersection configuration shown in Figure 4.01-35 operates atLOS D during both peak-hours.
