DevelopmentNGOs work on the following three central themes in the programmesgeared at Pro-Development Education:Knowledge <strong>and</strong> comprehension: Abilities: Values <strong>and</strong> attitudes:Diversity Critical thinking Sense of identity <strong>and</strong> selfesteemGlobalization <strong>and</strong> Argumentative skills Commitment with social justiceinterdependence<strong>and</strong> equitySustainable development Ability to chang unfair Acknowledgement <strong>and</strong> respectsituations<strong>and</strong> diversityPeace <strong>and</strong> conflict Respect for individuals <strong>and</strong> Responsability towards thebelongingsenvironmentSocial justice <strong>and</strong> equityConflict resolution <strong>and</strong>cooperationFrom Development NGOs, how can we work on these issues <strong>and</strong>how should we orient the processes (Pro-Development Education)?—Working on global <strong>and</strong> transversal perspectives.—Facilitating global processes for global problems <strong>and</strong> issues: criticalunderst<strong>and</strong>ing, questioning of situations from the st<strong>and</strong>point ofhuman rights <strong>and</strong> the development of a shared commitment.—Working on key components: knowledge, skills, attitudes <strong>and</strong>values (which we have previously seen).—Working on intercultural competence <strong>and</strong> on critical access tonew technologies as indispensable tools.Development NGOs disseminate new proposals <strong>and</strong> foster informationcampaigns.
