Drum Cancel<br />

This function makes it possible to erase specific drum instruments from the<br />

RHYTHM 1 and RHYTHM 2 tracks. It’s handy, for example, when you want to erase<br />

just the bass drum recorded on the RHYTHM 1 track.<br />

While recording either the RHYTHM 1 or RHYTHM 2 track, use the SUB MENU<br />

[▲] and [▼] buttons to select “Drum Cancel”.<br />

Then, press the key on the key board corresponding to the instrument you want to<br />

cancel.<br />

Quantize<br />

Quantize can be used to align notes to the nearest specified beat to tighten up loose<br />

timing.<br />

1With the style Record Ready Mode (or Rehearsal Mode) engaged and the target<br />

style and its section selected, use the SUB MENU [▲] and [▼] buttons to select<br />

“Quantize? YES”.<br />

2Press the [+] (YES) button to engage the quantize function (or [–] to abort) . The<br />

current quantize value will appear to the left of “Quantize:” on the top line of the<br />

display. Use the [–] and [+] buttons, or the Data Dial to select the desired quantize<br />

value (4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32). When the quantize function is executed, all notes in<br />

the target track will be aligned with the nearest note of the corresponding value.<br />
