CONGONo recent information is available on the occurrence of C . mydas <strong>and</strong>E. imbricata in the Congo Republic, nor on local exploitation of the species(B. Andzouana, in litt. . 24 October 1986). Brongersma (1982) cited an 1882record of C. mydas nesting at Loango (although this may refer to the "LoangoCoast" area, in the former French Equatorial Africa, but now mainly orentirely within the present Gabon). There appears to be no record ofE. imbricata , although the species might be expected to occur in Congowaters .International trade Congo acceded to CITES on 31 January 1983.
