These are set out in Table 215. In recent years, Hong Konghas reported importing increasingly large quantities, but the Hong KongAgriculture and Fisheries Department have confirmed that these do not relateto sea turtle shell (M.K. Cheung, in litt. to C. Huxley, 15 May 1985). Itis likely that most of the shell is of freshwater turtles, which are widelyfished in Viet Nam. Further evidence of the lack: of trade in sea turtleshell is that Japan has never reported importing bekko from Viet Nam.Table 215.
