PITCAIRNPOPULATIONThere are no records of nesting by C. mydas or E. imbricata (or any othersea turtles) on Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie or Oeno Islands; however, nospecific survey work has been carried out (G.D. Pritchard (1982a) stated, with reference to Pitcairn andHenderson, that there is no evidence that the occurrence of turtles aroundthe islands is anything more than sporadic.
