MALAYSIAA fifth hatchery was started, in 1979 on Pulau Perhentian (Terengganu) ,primarily for C. mydas (Siow and Moll, 1982). Abdul ( in litt , 4 October1986) gave details of the numbers of C. mydas and E. imbricata released fromhatcheries in Terengganu state from 1980 to 1986 (Table 135).
